Discover Something Unexpected
Just outside the city you’ll find the largest Buddhist Stupa in the Western world. Take time to explore the tranquil Peace Park, wander through the gardens, enjoy a meal at the café, and step inside The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion to see the breathtaking Jade Buddha, carved from gemstone-quality jade. Experience one of the largest stupas in the Western world, where stunning architecture, rich culture and peaceful reflection await.

Meet Bendigo’s Dragons
Visit the Golden Dragon Museum to come face-to-face with the oldest Imperial Dragon in the world, Loong, and the longest, Dai Gum Loong. The museum also showcases a rich collection of artefacts, textiles, and treasured heirlooms from Bendigo’s Chinese community.

Jump Aboard a Vintage Talking Tram
See Bendigo from a different angle on one of the city’s iconic Vintage Talking Trams. The 45 minute round trip passes grand heritage buildings and stops at local favourites including Lake Weeroona (great for a coffee or playground time), Bendigo Tramways & Cafe, and Central Deborah Gold Mine where you can discover what life was like for miners above and below ground.

Snap a Photo at the Bendigo Sign
No visit to Bendigo is complete without a stop at the iconic Bendigo Sign. This ever changing artwork is currently decorated with colourful puzzle pieces, making it the perfect photo backdrop. While you’re there, look down and you’ll find a giant Dragons & Ladders game right at your feet. Challenge your friends and family for a bit of playful fun.
