Discovery is where curiosity and celebration collide.
Don't miss out on Halloween at Discovery, suitable for families and children of all ages. This spooky event is frightful but not scary, as we celebrate ghouls, ghosts and gremlins! This two-hour experience includes fun and games, exclusive experiences, and a safe night of celebrating all things spooky with family and friends! Costumes strongly encouraged! Date: Saturday 31st of October
Time: 4pm-6pm
Price: $15 per child, or $10 per member. Accompanying adults and children under 3yo are free.
Brickman returns to Curiosity at Discovery for three hands-on build alongs where curiosity leads the way. Tickets on sale Friday, 11th September at 11am. All sessions are open to ticket holders of the general public as well as member ticket holders. If you purchase a member ticket, you will need to show your membership card to enter the session. This event will bring new challenges from Brickman but will be a similar format to our May Masterclasses. This event is suitable for families. The recommended age for all events is 5+
Bendigo’s favourite astronomy event takes place roughly once a month on Friday nights right outside Discovery. Hosted by the Astronomical Society of Victoria’s Bendigo branch, Sidewalk Astronomy invites passers-by to look through shared telescopes, chat with local experts and explore the night sky above. These relaxed, family-friendly evenings make stargazing fun, welcoming and inspiring for all ages.
Our popular Homeschool Day runs once each term, with Discovery opening exclusively for homeschooling families on a Monday when the centre is usually closed. Each event includes a hands-on workshop, a planetarium session, time on the Vertical Slide, and plenty of space for families to connect, explore, and learn together. Every Homeschool Day is a little different, offering fresh activities and new opportunities to discover something exciting.
