Throw on a lab coat and explore scientific phenomena in The Lab!
The Lab offers school groups the unique opportunity to engage in interactive science experiments using real lab equipment and facilities that schools may not be able to provide themselves.
Lab workshops run for 30 minutes and cost $4.00 per Lab per person (with a minimum of 10 participants) unless otherwise specified.

Our Lab Workshops include:
Little Labs (Year level: P-2)
Young discoverers, armed in pint-sized lab coats, can take their first step in scientific exploration by conducting some real experiments in our Lab. Students are introduced to some key scientific inquiry skills such as asking questions and making observations. (Chemistry)
Sounds like... (Year level: P-6)
Can you make a cup cluck? A rattle roll? Create "music" and explore the science of sound. (Physics)
Going through a Phase (Year level: 2-6)
Explore properties of solids, liquids and gases, and how they can change from one phase to another through hands-on experiments. (Physics)
React Now! (Year level: 4-8)
Inspiring students’ curiosity, this workshop invites students to explore chemical change by creating and observing very different chemical reactions. Students will uncover reversible or irreversible chemistry, and produce their own exothermic reactions. (Physics)
* The cost of the labs are in addition to Discovery's General/Group Admission fees.
The Lab is proudly supported by Gandel Philanthropy, the Ian Potter Foundation, Sidney Myer Fund, the Jack Brockhoff Foundation, the Danks Trust, the James N. Kirby Foundation and La Trobe University Bendigo.
